New Medical Schools

New medical schools have opened in recent years and more are set to open soon, in part to address the projected shortage of physicians. There are now 144 allopathic medical schools in the US. Here is a list of schools in the pipeline (not yet approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, the accrediting body for medical schools):

  3. College of Henricropolis School of Medicine, Martinsville, VA
  4. Roseman University of Health Sciences, Las Vegas, NV
  5. University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine, Edinburg, TX

  7. Frank Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, North Haven, CT
  8. Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, Camden, NJ
  9. University of California, Riverside
  10. University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Greenville, South Carolina
